UL Unemployment Research Survey

The following is a request received from Mary M. Molloy, Fiona Corrigan, Limerick University

Limerick University has requested us to inform you that they are carrying out a survey of people's experiences of unemployment.  They would greatly appreciate your participation in this survey.  This survey aims to look at the psychological consequences of unemployment in Limerick and environs with a view to reducing the undesirable effects of unemployment on people's mental health.

This survey applies to both employed and unemployed people.  Mary M. Molloy and Fiona Corrigan of Limerick University are conducting this survey for the purpose of helping people cope better with the consequences of redundancy.  We aim to use this information to inform government on policy in this regard.

DELL: AFTERSHOCK!!!

RTÉ presents a week-long series of television programmes which capture where we've come from over the last 18 months, take stock of where we are now and try to identify ways in which we as a nation can get Ireland from crisis to recovery.

"Life After Dell" on RTE will air on RTE1 Television on Wednesday May 12th at 9.35pm. The program charts the past 12 months for four different families following the announcement of their redundancy at the Dell plant in Limerick. Read More.

Visit The Entrepreneur Show

Here is an ideal opportunity for those of you in the Dell Redundant Workers Association who have in mind going into business for yourself. The Entrepreneur Show is going to be Ireland's biggest Entrepreneurial and Business Event ever!
The Show will take place on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th April 2010 in the largest possible venue in Ireland, the Simmonscourt Pavilion, at the RDS in Dublin.

Fine Gael Leader visits Dell Redundant Workers Association at Griffith College, Limerick.

Enda Kenny Leader of Fine Gael visited Limerick recently and met with the Dell Redundant Workers Association. He discussed how EU funding for the re-training of those made redundant will be spent.See the interview on TV3 News at 5.30pm
