400 New Northern Trust Jobs in Limerick by 2017
Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton TD and Clive Bellows, Country Head Ireland at Northern Trust (Nasdaq: NTRS) last week announced that the company is to expand its Limerick operation by creating up to 400 new jobs over the next five years.  The expansion is supported by the Irish Government through IDA Ireland.   More Information

Northern Trust, which works in asset management and banking services, already employs 300 people in its Limerick office. It has also had an office in Dublin since 2000.

Limerick Local Heroes Jobsfair & Careers Advice Event:

Thomond Park will host the Limerick Local Heroes Jobsfair & Careers Advice Event on the Friday 12th October 2012.

This half day event will provide an excellent opportunity for companies to source suitable employees. It will also enable unemployed professionals to meet with potential future employers.

The event will have a training & education providers offering advice regarding courses & skills needed for specific career paths. Free advice seminars & workshops delivered by Industry Experts will focus on key areas such as CV clinics, career planning, use of social media & job market status.  These seminars & Workshops will be sponsored by ULearning Skillnet.

Speaking at the launch of the Jobsfair, Ronan O'Boyle (Network Manager of ULearning Skillnet) of the Enterprise, Employment & Education pillar of Limerick Local Heroes said, "The objective is to help companies & jobseekers, to find each other.  It is also a platform for Limerick-based education institutions & organisations to meet individuals who wish to up-skill. Ultimately it will contribute to growing a strong employment base in the region."

Places are limited.  Any companies wishing to attend are urged to contact the organisers as soon as possible. There is no cost to attending companies.

Jobseekers will be requested to complete an online registration form in advance.
