FETAC Level 6 (3 Component Awards)


The Irish Institute of Training and Development (IITD) certificate programme is focused on the development of  the knowledge, skills and confidence that will enable participants to undertake activities related to the planning, delivery and evaluation of training. It is suitable for:
  1. Individuals who have an interest in training and development and may wish to pursue it as a career.
  2. Individuals with training-related responsibilities in organisations.
  3. Technical trainers / trainers involved in operator training.
  4. Consultants who wish to gain a formal training qualification. 
  5. Supervisors who wish to gain an insight into systematic training.

Structure and Content of Programme:
Module 1 - Learning & Development Culture and Adult Learning.
Module 2 - Systematic Training.
Module 3 - Communication Skills and Training Delivery.
Module 4 - Interpersonal Skills and Training Administration.

The IITD also offers 3 FETAC Level 6 Component Awards with this programme:
  1. Train The Trainer (E30179)
  2. Communications (G30001)
  3. Group Work Theory and Practice (E30163)

Duration: 10 days – 6 Fridays and 4 Saturdays (9:00am to 5:30pm) – commencing Friday 1st April and concluding Friday 3rd June, 2011.

Location:
Maldron Hotel, Southern Ring Road, Limerick.

Cost:
850 (includes Skillnets funding of €250 for those eligible). The cost for unemployed participants is €500 . Student membership fee & course materials are also included in this price.

Mike Roche BE, MSc (Training and HRM), MIITD

Mike Roche is an engineering graduate from UCC, holds a Graduate Diploma in Management Studies from the Institute of Commercial Management and obtained an M.Sc in Training and Human Resource Management from the University of Leicester in 2007.
He has over 20 years experience in the manufacturing sector, working both in engineering and as a Learning and Development practitioner in a number of multinational organisations. His key areas of interest include Adult Learning and the Training ROI Process.
He is a full member of the IITD and has delivered a number of their certificate programmes in the Mid-West region. He has also facilitated both middle and senior management programmes on a broad range of subjects.
